Cork team set tobe named tonightDEFENDER Mi-chael Shields is ex-pected to return tothe Cork team toplay Kildare in theleague at Páirc UíRinn on Saturdaynight (7pm).
The Barrs’ ace missedthe defeat by Dublin lastweek due to a leg injury,but is likely to be namedin the team later tonight.
Damien Cahalane isconsidered a doubt aftersuffering a dead leg.
He didn’t train withthe U21s on Tuesdaynight and the manage-ment will assess the situ-ation at training tonight.
Cahalane is one ofthree U21s involved withthe senior set-up atpresent, the others areTom Clancy (Clonakilty)and John O’Rourke.
This will be their lastinvolvement with theseniors because ofCork’s opening de-fence of their Mun-ster U21 titleagainst Kerry onMarch 13.

ERIC GRIMES makes a welcomereturn to Turner’s Cross tonight when helines out in goal for Leeds United in apre-season friendly with Cork City, 7.45pm.The former Ringmahon Rangersgoalkeeper, who celebrated his 18thbirthday on Monday, played for the LeedsU21s in a 2-2 draw at Wigan on Tuesdayand he will be back between the sticks thisevening.“I went over to Leeds two years ago on anAcademy scholarship after Tony O’Neill, theLeeds scout in Kerry, saw me play in aninternational match. Then Bobby Tamblingfinally convinced me that it was the rightthing to do and I made the move.“It’s been a dream move for me as I am abig Leeds fan anyway. My dad Kieran andolder brother Ricky are Leeds fans as well.It’s been brilliant so far and I have noregrets,” said Grimes, who previously hadtrials with Ipswich Town, QPR and Preston.“I went to Ipswich for a trial on the sameday as Roy Keane was sacked.
