Mitel Digital Handset Quick User Guide
Make a Call: Internal – Lift Handset and dial extension number
External – Lift Handset, dial 0 for a line then required telephone number
Make a Speed Call Dial speed bin location number eg. 3020 Call Pickup: Lift Handset Press Pickup key answers another ringing phone in your call pickup group. Or - Dial *54 and extension number of ringing phone. Park a Call: Ask caller to wait a few moments Press Numbered Park key That Park Key will now Flash. Retrieve Parked call: Lift Handset Press the Flashing Park Key that call was parked on.
Place Call on Hold: While in a call, press . Call key will flash.
Retrieve Held Call: Press flashing Call key
Transfer a Call: Press Dial required extension number Announce the call to the destination To complete the transfer: Hang up or press the release key
To cancel the transfer: Press Forward your phone - If it isn’t answered: To voicemail, dial *66 8000 To an external number, dial *66 0<external number> - Always To voicemail, dial **8 8000 To an external number, dial **8 0<external number> Cancel Forwarding: Dial ##6 Voicemail: To set up, dial voicemail (8000). Enter the default passcode
(1111), then follow the prompts Hotdesking: Press hotdesk button then login button, enter extension
number ok, pin number ok.

Make a Call Lift the handset OR
Press . Dial the number OR Press a Speed Call key OR Press OR Dial the prefix for external calls (e.g. 9) and the number.
Answer a Call Lift the handset OR
Press , and begin speaking.
End a Call
Press OR Replace the handset.
Place a Call on Hold Press . The line key flashes. Replace the handset if necessary.
Retrieve a Call from Hold Lift the handset OR
Press . Press the flashing line key.
Retrieve a Message Press . It flashes when a message is waiting. Follow the voice mail prompts to retrieve your message.
Transfer a Call Press . Dial the number. Wait for an answer. Hang up OR announce the transfer and then hang up.
Conference a Call Press . Dial the number. Wait for an answer. Press .
Program a Speed Call
Press Menu OR . Press Settings.
Press Programmable Keys.Press the key you wish to program.Press Speed Call.Press Edit Label and enter the label for the Speed Call.Press Save. Press Edit Number and enter the phone number for the Speed Call.Press Save, and then press Save again.Press Close and then press Close again.
Adjust Volume Levels
Adjust ringer volume while the phone is ringing. Adjust handset or speaker volume while using the handset or speaker.
Press repeatedly to raise the volume OR repeatedly to lower the volume.
Press to mute your microphone.
