Someone whodoesn't have the right skills for a position, or who isn't a good fit with the corporate culture, often endsup being replaced. Then companies fill the position again, and turnover costs and lost opportunitiesbecome significant. The ranguage course prays an important rore in the ranguage rearningprocess. companies also use these tests for promoting and training. Listening SkillsListening is a receptive language skill which learners usuaUy find the most difficult. This often is because
they feel under unnecessary pressure to understand every word. The listener has to get oriented to thelistening portion and be all ears. The listener is also required to be attentive. Anticipation is a skillto be
nurtured in Listening. ln due course of listening, be in a lookout for the sign post words and one shouldbe able to concentrate on understanding the message thorouBhly. Listening Skills is enhanced byfocusing on making the students listen to the sounds and help them with the right pronunciation ofwords.SpeakingLanguage is a tool for communication. We communicate with others, to express our ideas, and to know
others' ideas as well. We must take into account that the level of language input (listening) must be
higher than the level of language production. ln primary schools, elocution and recitation are main
sources to master the sounds, rhythms, and intonation of the En8lish language through simple
reproduction. Understanding of para-linguistic attributes such as voice quality, volume and tone, voice
modulation, articulation, pronunciation etc helps to better this skill.
ReadingReadrng is a learning skill. lt helps you improve all parts of the English language - vocabulary, spelling,
grammar, and writing. lt helps to develop language intuition in the corrected form. Then the brainlimitates them, producing similar sentences to express the desired meaning. Using skimming or scanning
technique to read quickly is highly effective. While reading underlining of key words is necessary.
ReadinB Skills help the students grasp the content and draw conclusions. The students should also make
it a point to familiarize themselves with the jargons and new words by making reading a habit be it
reading newspapers, articles, books, magazines etc.
WritingWriting provides a learner with physical evidence of his achievements and he can measure his
improvement. lt helps to consolidate their grasp of vocabulary and structure, and complements the
other language skills. lt helps to understand the text and write compositions. lt can foster the learner's
ability to summarize and to use the language freely. To write flawless language one should excel in the
writing skills with the help of various methods. lmportance should be given to composition and creative
writing. One should also focus on coherence when it comes to writing a language. ln these sessions, we
help them to identify and apply critical thinking skills in writing. Assessment session helps them to apply
language & reflective skills to create a write up for given iconic images. Teachin8 of English language
while ensuring focus on allthese four skills provides a platform for the learners to hone their proficiency
in this language well.

before an audience. Public speeches can cover a wide variety of different topics' The goal of

A public speaking presentation is different from an online presentation because the online

speech is typically limited to a specific time or place' Online presentations are often
comprised of slideshows or pre-recorded videos of a speaker (including recordings of a live

Because public speaking is done before a live a udience, there are some special factors the speakerneeds to take into consideration. We'll touch on those shortly, but first let's take a quick look atthe history of public speaking.
Motive of this course is to enhance the ability of students as following.
l. ln addition to being Ability Enhancement Compulsory course (AECC) of the communicationstudies discipline, oratory is a truly essential communication skill in our society. This courseis designed for those eager to polish their fundamental talents acquired in an introductorypublic speaking course, and to provide an advanced understanding ofthe public speakingexperience as an orator in real-life contexts. civility and ethical speech-making are thefoundations of this course. lts goal is to prepare students for success in typical publicspeaking situations and to provide them with the basic principles of organization andresearch needed for effective speeches. one of the primary goals of this course is toconnect public speaking to the workplace, where excellent public speaking skills are soughtafter in a competitive job market.
2. This course is an introduction to speech communication which emphasizes the practical skillof public speaking, including techniqucs to lessen speaker anxiety, and the use of visual aidsto enhance speaker presentations.
