Throughout the development of the stormwater mitigation industry, porous pavements have been on the forefront of products off ered as a solution. As a concept, porous pavement allows stormwater to run through the paved surface, a gradated paver base, and then fi lter through the sub-base back into the aquifer or for re-use. A problem that presented itself was that the majority of porous pavement systems were clogging and did not fulfi ll the expectations of the end user.

At Hanging Gardens, we were not dissuaded by these initial reports. We saw an opportunity to work with products that would fulfi ll the expectations that failed porous pavement solutions could not. Our solutions will provide consistent fl ow rate while requiring minimum maintenance.
