GENERAL INTRODUCTION OF SINTERING

32m2 sintering machine and auxiliary facilities include water supply, power supply, gas, heating, road and etc.

This proposal is just a primary one for Mn ore sintering. Here, utilization coefficient is 0.8t/m2·h, with annual

sintering capapcity of 172000 tons.

1. Design content

1.1 General design

1.2 32m2 sintering machine

Here equipped with: fuel crushing chamber, batching chamber, mixing chamber, granulating chamber, cooling

chamber, main dedusting and exhaust fan room, product screening room, product buffer bin, belt corridor, transfer

station and matching power supply, HVAC, water supply and drainage and other auxiliary facilities.

2. Design specifications

2.1 Sintering specifications

2.1.1 Sintering machine effective area: 32m2 Sintering machine;

2.1.2 Coefficient 0.8t/m2·h(equipment capcity 1.0t/m2·h);

2.1.5 Sintering size 150~5mm, =50mm is 2~5%,powder(-5mm)=10%;

2.1.6 Ore ISO tumbler index(+6.3mm)=60%。

3. Generals introduction

3.1 Sintering

3.1.1 Scale of production and product solutions

A 32m2 sintering machine and its auxiliary facilities will capable of 0.2 million tones finished ore product. After

refining, ore size will be 150~5mm.

3.1.2 Raw materials and fuels supply

Here use SiMn furnace gas as firing fuel with dust content under 10mg/m3, with consumption of ~48m³ per tone

Raw materials consumption refers to Table 1-1.

3.1.3 Process, plant composition and major equipment configuration

Process of sintering plant start from raw materials on belt conveyer till the final sintered ore shipping out

Here include fuel crushing, mixing, granulating, initial and fabrics, ignition, exhaust, sintering, hot crushing,

screening heat, cooling, refining, storage and other technology sectors.

⑴ Fuel crushing chamber,

One set of f 900×700 4-roll crusher

⑵ Batching chamber

Equiped with 7 mine shafts with computer controlled automatic weighing betching

⑶ Mixing chamber

The mixer dimension is f 2.8×9m with 1.5°angle, mixingtime of 2.43min and filling rate of 9.8%

⑷ Granulation chamber

Granulating machine specifications f 2.8 × 12m, installation angle of 1.5 °, solid rubber wheel drive, lined with

nylon lining installation wear and oil, mixing time 3.78min, fill rate of 11.2%.

⑸ Cooling system

Blast belt cooler of 40m2 used for cooling process with final cooling temperature under 120℃, with dip of9°and

trolley dimensions 1.8 × 0.6 × 0.7m.

⑹ Dedusting and ventilation systems

Equipped with one set of SJ3500 fan, 3500m3/min capacity, 50m chemney

⑺ Refining screen process

Primary screening and secondary screening setup in this process

Primary screen size is 1.8×5.0m with 20mm mesh, and secondary is 1.5×4.5m with 10mm upper mesh and 5mm

bottom mesh. Then tree size types got: 0~5mm returned to raw material use, 5~10mm is qualified product and

10~20mm can be used as bedding material to sintering chamber.

3.1.6 Thermal

3.1.7 Ventilation and dedusting

Enclosures are located in each dusting point.

Laboratories, substations, power distribution room, duty room, operating room are equipped with ventilation and

air conditioning.

3.1.8 Water Supply and Drainage

Taotal water consumption is 300m3/h, 50m3/h for production, fresh water 160m3/h; living and greening water

20m3/h, fire water 100m3/h

Production water circulating rate is 93.2%.

3.1.9 Gas

SiMn furnace gas used with consumption of 1500m³/h

3.1.10 Power

The project capacity is 3000kW, high voltage is 1250kw, low voltage is 1550kw, lighting 200kw

3.1.11 Meters

Meters for sintering and auxiliary facilities

3.1.12 Tests

For raw materials and final products physical and chemical tests purpose, a laboratory is necessary.

Manual sampling and transferring are prepared for the Lab.
