Reflection Today's readings shows us that those called to do God's will don't always feel up to the challenge. Isaiah, Paul and Peter all express some sense of inadequacy, accepting that they don't measure up to what God wants. But here is the key lesson. They all take the risk and willingly embrace God's call, giving whatever they have. Because they know God is with them as they turn in a new direction to follow Him. We may not be called to make such radical changes as quitting a job or moving to another country for God. But He does constantly call us to change, to continuously improve – to follow the example of Jesus and give of ourselves for the benefit of others. Don't be concerned that you may not measure up to what God wants. Break out of your comfort zone and answer His call. Rest assured that when God calls, He will be with you.

Feast of our Lady of Lourdes World Day of the Sick

On Feb. 11, the Catholic Church celebrates the liturgical memorial of Our Lady of Lourdes, recalling a series of 18 appearances that the Blessed Virgin Mary made to a 14-year-old French peasant girl, Saint Bernadette Soubirous. The Marian apparitions began Feb. 11, 1858, ended July 16 that year and received the local bishop's approval after a four-year inquiry.

FYI The end of the 2018 year donation statements have been sent out. You should have received them by now. If you have not received yours please contact the office. They should have arrived by Mail and you should have them already. Also, we would like to remind you about your envelopes, if you have not received them, please let us know, in the office at 896-1050. Thank you-you could also let us know if you want to receive envelopes by mail, at that same number.
