Tempera tu re d i f fe rences in cab ine ts , mos t ly in ou tdoor app l i ca t ions , o f ten resu l t in humid i ty and condensat ion wh ich may cause func t ion fa i lu res and cor ros ion . The use o f the appropr ia te hea t ing un i t fo r your cab ine t w i l l e l im ina te these p rob lems.

Fan heaters have a smal l and compact des ign , they heat up dynamica l l y and a re very qu ie t in opera t ion . The in te rna l warm a i r i s equa l l y d is t r ibu ted th roughout the con t ro l cab ine t . Fur ther advantage o f fan hea ters compared to PTC heaters i s the much lower s ta r t ing cur ren t .

PTC heaters a re compact in s ize , have a w ide vo l tage range and the heat ing power ad jus ts in re la t ion to the ambien t tempera tu re , resu l t ing in be t te r e f f i c iency.

In combina t ion w i th thermosta ts f rom Se i fe r t you can save on energy s ince the fan i s on ly on when ac tua l l y needed, on mater ia l because less consumpt ion o f f i l te r mats and on t ime s ince less c lean ing i s requ i red . A l l th is w i l l ensure a longer l i fe t ime o f the f i l te r fans and w i l l enhance your p rocess re l iab i l i t y and sa fe ty.

A l l our f i l te r fans a re a lso ava i lab le as EMC and NEMA 3R vers ions . NEMA 3R mode ls a re made ou t o f UV and f ros t res is tan t p las t i c mater ia l .

How to use f i l te r fans cor rec t l y?

Pre fe rab ly use the f i l te r fan to b low the coo l ambien t a i r in to enc losure (F ig .2 .and F ig .3 ) . This ensures that a sl ight posi t ive pressure bui lds up inside the cabinet and that only f i l tered air f lows inside i t . The a i r b lown in to the cab ine t d isp laces the warm a i r wh ich ex i ts th rough the exhaus t f i l te r. I f however a i r i s d rawn ou t o f the cab ine t by suc t ion power (F ig .1 ) on ly f i l te red ambien t a i r shou ld en te r the cab ine t . Ensure tha t no un f i l te red a i r can en te r th rough poor sea ls o r cab le en t r ies .

I f you insta l l a combinat ion of f i l ter fan/exhaust f i l ter, the f i l ter fan should a lways be p laced in the lower th i rd of the cabinet and the exhaust f i l ter should be in the upper par t o f the cabinet to prevent heat pockets ins ide.
