Artek was founded in Helsinki in 1935 by four young idealists: Alvar and Aino Aalto, Maire Gullichsen, and NilsGustav Hahl. Their goal was »to sell furniture and to promote a modern culture of living by exhibitions and other educational means.«
Made not only for sitting, Artek stools, chairs and benches support a wide range of functions and may be used for working,
dining or resting, for short periods or long durations. Aesthetically appealing, durable, and adaptable, they rise to
