Bench mark is in the top of the southwest concrete guardrail of a highway bridge spanning the Gardner River, 4.3 m (14.1 ft) southwest of the centerline of the highway, 1.0 m (3.3 ft) northwest of the southeast end of the bridge (just west of where the upper portion of the south guardrail has its eastern termination), and 0.7 m above the highway. There is a paved pullout on the south side of the highway about 50 m east of the bench mark. Looking east at bench mark (beneath orange hat), bridge, and Mammoth Terrace.
