(fixed traits) dedication

GROWTH MINDSET …

Increases PRODUCTIVITY Business World Education Sports
Increases ACHIEVEMENT
What can you as a parent do?
Fixed mindset message says: “You have permanent traits and I’m judging
them….”
******Growth mindset message says:
“You are a developing person and I am interested in your
development.”
Instilling growth mindset
Praise them for EFFORT Say: “I like the way you approached that
problem.”OR
Say: “Good job to hang in there and find a different strategy that did work.”
OR Say: “Sorry, that seemed to be too easy
for you, let’s do something more challenging.”
Statements like this teach kids
that effort is something we ALL can benefit from
to reach our full potential, AND that they need to be working purposefully in
order to grow!
