5 day long Faculty Development Program on Entrepreneurship DevelopmentThe Entrepreneurship Development workshop is being promoted in educational institutions to develop institutional mechanism to create entrepreneurial culturens and to foster techno-entrepreneurship for generation of wealth and employment by S&T persons.
The program stressed on developing institutional mechanism to create entrepreneurial culture in amongst the faculty and students ".
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Pacific university organized a 5 day long Faculty development programme on Entrepreneurship development, the inauguration of the same was done by Prof. B.P. Sharma, President Paher, Prof. Mahima birla , dean FM. The coordinator of the prog. Dr. Pooja Devija informed that this FDP is conducted for faculty members so that they can inspire the students to set up a new venture after graduating and enable them to setup any micro, small and medium enterprise by guiding them closely.
The topics to be covered in the programme are Starting up a new venture,
·Government funding and formalities,
·Project Financing & Venture Capital,
·Taxation and Government clearances,
·Finance for working Capital &
·Land allotment.
A total of 45 faculty members of the university from various streams like management, engineering, pharmacy, hotel management attended the programme.
Youth festival coordinator of Pacific University Dr. Pooja Devija informed that a group of 23 students wid 2 faculty
members were sent to represent Pacific university at the 30th inter university youth festival in ajmer organised by MDS
University . In dis 5 day long event The students participated in various cultural, literary,fine arts and drama events..The
team returned back on 23rd.
