Collect some different shaped & sized leaves. Put the leaf under a piece of paper and using a crayon do a rubbing. Can you see the leaf?

Get a grown up to write your name for you. Using some cot-ton buds and paint write your name.

Fix a pen to a wheeled vehicle. Push your vehicle along so that it makes a mark behind it. Try lots of different colours.

Ask a grown up to write the letters of the alphabet on squares of paper. Lay them out from a-z (don’t forget to do lower case letters). Ask some-one to write your name for you, then find the letters of your name from the alphabet and make your name. Don’t forget to do extra’s for some letters!

Draw out a hop scotch. Instead on hopping jump with 2 feet together as this will be easier. Throw a small marker, like a bottle lid on to 1 square, jump over it and onto the other squares, all the way to the top, turn round and come back down and pick up your marker. Now throw it

on to number 2 and repeat as before and so on.

Collect together a toy man, an animal, and a container you can fit the man in-side. Ask your child to put the man, next to, in front of and behind the animal, one instruction at a time. Then using the container, put the

man in, on and under.

Find a big bear, a middle- sized bear ad a little bear. Collect sets of objects of each size for example a big spoon, a middle-sized spoon and a little spoon. Mix all the objects up and get your child to give the correct objects to each bear.

Get an egg box. Ask a grown up to make a drawn pattern for you to copy you could use any small thing it doesn’t have to be bricks. Put the right col-ours in the right place.

Sort your toys into colour sets.

animal you could go on a

hunt for, remember that it

has to be something you

need to run away from!

Can you re-member the sounds the go with each thing the fami-ly go through?

Just cuddly up & read together you favourite story today.

Collect together objects or pictures of things that rhyme for example cat and hat, pen and hen, duck and truck, mouse and house, fox and box, frog and dog. Mix all the objects up and pick one out say what it is then ask your child to find the one that rhymes with it. Continue until you have found all of the pairs.

Collect some objects that make a noise like a packet of crisp, a toy that makes a noise, a bunch for keys etc. Take the objects and then go somewhere so your child can’t see you, make a sound us-ing each object one at a time then ask your child to say what the object is.

When you go out today go on a listening walk. What sounds can you hear?

Use an empty plastic con-tainer with a lid like a bottle to make a shaker. Add rice or pasta and secure the lid with cello-tape. Make music with your shaker, can you sing your favourite song while playing? Can you do it quiet? Can you do it loud?

Collect together 8 familiar objects. Lay them out then describe one to your child and get them to guess which one it is. For example you may have a spoon and then say “it’s made of metal, it feels hard you use it to eat your cereal, what is it?
