DOES THE NUMBER 117 MEAN ANYTHING TO ANYBODY?
Yes my children on Sunday July 19th at our fourth annual Thunderbird Show at Syosset Ford we had 117 cars on the show field.Mother Nature smiled and said “I love you guys” and proceeded to give us one hell of a day.
First I want to thank our sponsors. Let’s start off with the Big Guy, and that is Turtle Wax. Tom Healy, their SVP Consumer ProductsWorldwide, sent us many cases of their detail solution “ICE”. Everybody that registered for the show received a bottle. We sold adver-tising for the back of the T-shirt, to defray the cost of the shirts, and the following sponsors stepped up to the plate and bought of pieceof history, Bill Carberry of Cap a Radiator, Firestone of Selden, Tires Incorporated of Patchogue, and Fregenti Insurance. This yearour T-shirts were a walking bill board, along with the Motor Mouth Radio logo on the sleeve, so thank you Chris and Ray, my heroes.
Thank you Phil Wegener from Power Sport for your watches and Anthony owner of Gia’s detailing for those water less car wash prod-ucts. Also Dianne Date of Legendary Ford Magazine for two annual subscriptions to a great publication. Sonoma Grill, and Chilli’sfor their gift certificates. Bixlers gave us a Ford shirt to raffle off. David Lerner supplied us with pens and pads. You cannot vote with-out your pen.
So who’s left: Mr. Weiss and Mr. Ricottoni without their support, and checkbook there would be no show.
Listed below are the winners from our club. If you left early for whatever reason we may still have your plaque.

I want to thank our show committee, and all our volunteers from both clubs for their hard work. A new recruit this year was KenWeinberg. He did everything but go inside and clean Steve’s office. More thanks goes to John Nardozzi who brought his posse againwith him from Massachusetts and Connecticut. We created a spreadsheet to help us tally the votes, and because it was new it was astruggle at times for me to become comfortable with it, but Mr. Bauer held my hand for a while, and it works. A footnote to the spread-sheet: Rudy created it, and did an excellent job. A special treat at the show was Gene Martini and his 1967 Apollo Thunderbird. Genetrialed the car from Pa, and it was a treat to see it again. He approached me at the North Jersey show, and said if it does not rain, hewill be there.
The support from both clubs was outstanding. Out of the 117 cars, close to half of that number where TONY, and LITC members, now take your hand and pat yourself on your back a job well done.
Ok I’m out of bullets, and I need to rest.
August 12th Outdoor Meeting @ Burger King in Farmingdale: I have invited the Mark 8 club of New York State to join us. I havebeen talking to their President Jeff, and we agreed this would add a nice touch to the date. Remember, the BK is at Route 110 andMain Street in Farmingdale..New Member: Welcome aboard Thomas Bruckner of Islip with his 1955 Thunderbird.
Peace Elliott Weiner

Tony Coloneri’s Dent Craft Experience
I would like to introduce the services of EdwardJones of DENT CRAFT to our club members asI used him to remove small dings from my 2004Volvo and was amazed at how skilled and pro-fessional he is. (he does work for many autodealers in the area ). First he looks at the vehicleand determines where the dings are. The dingsare marked and ready to be worked on. He thensets up a series of reflectors that are temporarilyattached to your vehicle. This enables him tosee the area to work on. The dings are removedvery quickly with the help of various tools that fitbetween the openings of the door windows. I rec-ommend Eddie Jones and know you will havegreat results with his services. DENT CRAFT islocated at 14 Cedar Street, Center Moriches,New York 11934.
