From the Typewriter Keys - Black (B), cut:• (2) 2” x 43” Length of Fabric (LOF) strips. • (2) 2” x 26” WOF strips from the remaining fabric.• (22) 3 ¼” squares from the remaining fabric. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (88) 3 ¼” triangles. Note: Not all triangles will be used.
From the Urban Legend - Chocolate (C), cut:• (1) 3 ¾” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (8) 3 ¾” squares. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (32) 3 ¾” triangles.• (2) 3 ⅜” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (16) 3 ⅜” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (32) 3 ⅜” triangles.• Cut (34) Template #1 blocks.
From the Maps Background - Fawn (D), cut:• (1) 5 ¼” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (8) 5 ¼” squares. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (32) 5 ¼” triangles. From the Hot Air Balloons - Tan (K), cut:• (2) 5 ½” x 79 ½” LOF strips.• (2) 5 ½” x 67 ½” strips from the remaining fabric, piece as needed.
From the Patch - Tan (Backing), cut:• (2) 97” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 75” x 97” back.

Note: The arrows in Figures 2-5 denote fabric print direction. Also, pay attention to the unit orientations while assembling the units.
2. Sew (1) 3 ¼” Fabric B triangle to adjacent sides of (1) Fabric C-Template 1 block to make (1) Unit 1 triangle (Fig. 2). Repeat to make (11) Unit 1 triangles.
3. Repeat Step 2 and refer to Figures 3-5 for fabric identification, placement and fabric orientation to make (11) Unit 2 triangles, (6) Unit 3 triangles and (6) Unit 4 triangles.
4. Sew together (11) Unit 1 triangles and (10) 5 ¼” Fabric D triangles alternating them. Sew (1) 2 ⅞” Fabric D triangle to each end of the sewn strip to make the Pieced Left Side Border (Fig. 6).
5. Repeat Step 4 and refer to Figure 7 below for component identification, placement and orientation to make the Pieced Right Side Border.
6. Sew (6) Unit 1 triangles and (5) 5 ¼” Fabric D triangles together alternating them. Sew (1) 2 ⅞” Fabric D triangle to each end of the sewn strip. Sew (1) 2 ½” Fabric D square to each end of the new strip to make the Pieced Top Border (Fig. 8).
7. Repeat Step 6 and refer to Figure 9 for component identification, placement and orientation to make the Pieced Bottom Border.
8. Sew (1) 2” x 9” Fabric G strip to each side of (1) 7” x 9” Fabric F strip. Sew (1) 2” x 10” Fabric G strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric F strip to make (1) Block One rectangle (Fig. 10). Trim the block to measure 8 ½” x 10 ½”. Repeat to make (12) Block One rectangles total.

9. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 10 ½” Fabric E strip to each side of (1) Block One rectangle to make (1) Block Two rectangle (Fig. 11). Repeat to make (6) Block Two rectangles total.
10. Sew (1) 3 ¾” Fabric H triangle and (1) 3 ¾” Fabric G triangle together. Pay attention to the triangle orientations. Sew (1) 3 ⅜” Fabric C triangle to the long side of the sewn triangle to make (1) Unit 5 square (Fig. 12). Trim the unit to measure 3” square. Repeat to make (32) Unit 5 squares total.

13. Paying attention to the unit orientations, sew (1) Unit 7 strip to each side of (1) 5 ½” Fabric I square lengthwise. Sew (1) 3” Fabric G square to each end of (1) Unit 7 strip. 18. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 48 ½” Fabric D strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 30 ½” Fabric D strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.
19. Sew (1) Block Two rectangle, (1) Block Six rectangle, (1) Block Two rectangle, (1) Block Four rectangle and (1) Block Two rectangle together. Sew the new strip to the left side of the Center Block.
20. Sew (1) Block Two rectangle, (1) Block Four rectangle, (1) Block Two rectangle, (1) Block Six rectangle and (1) Block Two rectangle together. Sew the new strip to the right side of the Center Block.
21. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 54 ½” Fabric E strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

27. Layer and quilt as desired.
28. Sew the (8) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric G strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.
29. Bind as desired.
