Introduction

The growing demand for wireless telecommunications services available provided by 4Gnetworks, recently introduced in Egypt; highlights the need for preparing existingtransmission networks for 5G upgrades for more services.Noting that conventional ways to expand the transmission network efficiency, is expected tobe insufficient, either due to high cost or limited expansion. Therefore, a general trend hasemerged to consider the possibility of integrating existing networks and seeking non-traditional solutions to increase their efficiencies at the lowest possible cost. Thus, 5G is notonly a new radio but also a framework that integrates new with existing technologies tomeet the requirements of 5G applications.

Program OverviewThe course will guide the trainee from basic engineering of either (wirelesstechnology or fiber optics) up-to network planning, deployment, commissioning ,and management.

The core of the training track is to beable to design a backhaul network fora cellular system (2G, 3G, or 4G), usingMicrowave links, Fiber cable links, or ahybrid combination of the twooptions.This necessitates the provision of therequired theoretical foundations,using some software tools, andapplying the gained knowledge in yourproject.

Perform commissioning tests, and propose the key performance tests for the system after deployment
