Reading: 20 minutesIndependent reading for at least 20 minutes. Remember to use strategies from school and log it on the reading log. Reading log is required, as this will be needed to document your learning. Feeling tech savvy? Record yourself reading on Seesaw.

Writing: 20 minutesIn each writing, please include capitals/punctuation, spell words and word parts you know correctly, use best handwriting, and include a detailed sketch! Time allowing, reread your work and add colors to sketches, as appropriate.

Prompts Assigned on Seesaw. If writing in the Fundations Journal is easier, please feel free to upload a picture of the work into the Seesaw assignment each day using the camera tool! If Seesaw is unavailable, please complete in My Fundations Journal. Include more than one sentence and an illustration. Read your writing aloud when you are finished!

Writing Prompt: Which do you prefer - chocolate or vanilla? State your opinion and explain why, giving details. Use the Anchor Chart to help you with your ideas. I think... For example... Use words like - because, also, another reason.

Math: 30 minutes1) 14-8: Compose with 3D shapes - Assigned on Seesaw

Today, you will be learning about using 3D shapes to make something new. This information is detailed in the 4 boxes along the top of image A below. Image B covers the idea of combining 3D shapes, more in depth. Then, in your Fundations Journal, please complete #3, #4, & #5 from image C below, by looking at the picture on the left and circling the two shapes needed to recreate it!

Search your house for 2 or more 3D objects! Example: a tissue box. Create something new by stacking or arranging your 3D objects. Then, in your Fundations Journal, draw a picture of your creation, and write to tell about what you made and what 3D SHAPES you used. Example: a tissue box would be a rectangular prism.
