her car is damaged or how badly it is damaged. She said she went off the road, hit the embankment that caused the airbags to deploy and then went backwards up the embankment. Dispatch was able to get the call to map a location and send assistance.

1548 – A male came into dispatch lobby and stated he was checking in. He then started gig-gling and ran outside. Once out-side he started messing around by the outside ashtray.

1914 – A female said she doesn’t want a female and the female’s boyfriend around her house. She said they both have taken advantage of her. Ten minutes later, the female called back and stated the female is at her door. She was advised that officers are at her door and re-quested that she go talk to them.

1931 – A female reported that someone needs help getting out of the underpass.

2317 – A female called in to report that another female is at her door banging on the door and she doesn’t want her there. The subject and caller are from the same call from 1914. Of-ficer contacted the subject and informed her that her and her boyfriend were not allowed at the female’s residence again. If they went back they would be arrested for trespassing. Five hours later, the female called back and said the subject can come back to the house. She stated that it is her house and she can let her come back if she wants. The subject is sleeping outside and its cold.

Thursday, Sept. 130936 – A caller is stating

he is at a male’s house and for better than a week, the male has been receiving phone calls from a male who calls himself “Marvin.” “Marvin” tells the male to meet him at the bank by 1000 hours and to call him when he gets there. He speaks in

broken English and is very hard to understand. “Marvin” calls multiple times a day, at vari-ous times in the day. The male caller advised he has answered some of the calls and he has told “Marvin” not to call anymore but “Marvin” just keeps on talking. The number “Marvin” calls from was provided. Dispatch advised the caller to just hang up on the subject and to make sure not to give out any personal informa-tion. It was also advised to con-tact the phone provider to maybe block the numbers as “Marvin” is calling on the house phone and the cell phone.

1012 – A male called in stat-ing he has a parenting plan and he has a court order to pick up his kids. He states he lives in Corvalis, Mont., and the mother lives in Wolf Point. The caller was advised to call RCO dispatch as this is not in Valley County’s jurisdiction.

He would like to speak to an officer about how to go about legally getting these removed.

OPHEIM SCHOOL NEWSLETTERFOR THE COURIER

There will be a preschool screening at the school on Mon-day, Sept. 30, starting at 10 a.m.

Parents, please contact the school office when your child is absent or going to be absent from school. It is state law that the school office checks with parents if a student is not in school. A quick phone call or e-mail from you is very helpful, 762-3213 or [email protected].

Opheim School is also re-questing a call from parents to the bus route driver when their child(ren) will not be riding the bus on a particular day. This will eliminate wasted time and fuel. The courtesy of a phone call in advance to your route driver is appreciated. The driver for Route 3 is Kristy Roberts and she can be contacted at 263-1952.

Make sure to download the new Box Tops app, shop as you normally would, then simply scan your store receipts to find participating products. The app will automatically credit your school’s Box Tops earnings on-line and twice a year the school will receive a check where the funds can be used to purchase whatever is needed. Physical Box Top clips are being phased out of production but may continue to be found on many products throughout the store. Send your clipped Box Tops, along with any unexpired clips you may have at home to the school.

The Northern Lights 4-H Club, in partnership with the Opheim FFA chapter and local Boy Scout troops, will be working on some much needed maintenance to the playground equipment in the Opheim Park. If you’re interested in helping too, please call Jody Mason at 724-3322.

There will be a reunion for all OHS alumni and current and former residents of Opheim on Friday and Saturday, June 26 and 27, 2020. The Opheim Rodeo is scheduled for Sunday, June 28.

Please send in a small registration fee now to cover start-up costs and each person will pay for their meals at the reunion.

The Opheim community has just recently started a new non-profit organization, the Opheim Youth Organization (OYO) which will benefit the school and all kids in the community. The Opheim students and members of OYO will be helping with this reunion, so all net proceeds from the re-union will go into this organiza-tion for the benefit of the school and community. Registration fee is $20 per person and can be sent to: Opheim Youth Organization,

PO Box 211, Opheim, MT 59250. Also, please send the following: names of registrants; year gradu-ated from OHS (if applicable) and/or years lived in the Opheim Community. If you have an ad-dress for someone who needs a reunion notification via snail mail or email, please send Twyla at [email protected] and a notice will be sent out.

Do you have a piano that’s out of tune? There will be a piano tuner coming to the area on Thursday, Sept. 26, Friday, Sept. 27, and Saturday, Sept. 28. If you would like her services, please call Nina Walstad at 724-7216.
