encourage their fellow peers to take an interest in the 49er Battalion Army ROTC Program and see what it takes to be a leader in today’s world. For those peers who are interested, just have them make an appointment with MAJ Stewart and make sure they let him know that they were referred by a cadet currently in the program! If you have any questions or comments, contact MAJ Stewart or c/CPT Santiago.

Incentives Program

Pershing Rifles

This semester we are hoping to kick off the Incentives Program. Basically, any cadet who can bring in students interested in our program will have the option at the end of each semester to get some type of reward. These rewards can range from days off PT, extra credit in class, gift cards and more. For every person you bring in you can earn points based on how that student advances through our program. At the end of the semester the points are added, and you can claim your reward (s). Cadets should continue to

We are a military honor society dedicated to preserving the teachings and values of our founder, General of the Armies, John Joseph Pershing. We allow anyone to join our midst, whether you have a military background or not. Our primary functions are honor guards and color guards for the university and the surround areas, as well as being a rifle drill team. We do incorporate alternate training based on our members expertise, if you think you can add something to our group, feel free to come out and join us. Pledging starts Jan the 12th at 1700, we will stop accepting pledges the second Wednesday of February. Cadets of ROTC, if you are looking for a few more OML points, you can earn them by doing color guards with the Perishing Rifles. Below are the dates of the remaining color guards. If you are interested, you must attend two meetings and two training sessions and be judged up to standard by the PR company. Contact c/SSG Painter or c/SSG Dunlap if interested.
