There is a simple lesson not to be missed in today’s gospel. You don’t have to be rich or poor, have a high-powered job or are looking for a job for Jesus to come to your house. All that is required is that you open your heart to Him. Zacchaeus was “seeking to see who Jesus was”. The reward for this seeker was an encounter – one that got people talking! Today, people are still seeking to see who Jesus is. Some may be unaware that He is what is missing in their lives. Knowing the importance of Jesus in your own life, is there someone you know who is a seeker, like Zacchaeus, that you can introduce to Jesus?
