FestivalstaffwillmeetfestivalparticipantsarrivingbyplaneonTuesday, August 4thattheViennaSchwechatAirportforbustransfertoyourhotelinEisenstadt.IfyouaretravelinginEuropeonyourownbeforethefestival,youcanreturntotheViennaAirport(InternationalArrivalsHall)onAugust4thfortransportationtoEisenstadt.TheFestivalwillalsoprovidebustransportationbacktotheairportonAugust16.Participantsarrivingordepartingoutsideofthosedatesareresponsibleformakingtheirowntransportationarrangements.

Eisenstadt,thecapitalofthefederalprovinceofBurgenlandsince1925,issituatedonthesouthernslopesoftheLeithaMountains.Surroundedbyagreatnumberofvineyards,EisenstadtisthesmallestfederalcapitalofAustria,withonly13,250inhabitants.TheverysafeandsecureresidentatmosphereofthefestivalsetstheprogramapartfromthetypicalEuropean“tour.”ParticipantsliveinEisenstadt,whereHaydnservedtheHungariannobilityformorethan30years.ThereisanopportunitytotrulygettoknowthisquainttownwhichfosteredthegeniusofHaydn,Beethovenandothers.Innotimeatall,participantswillcallEisenstadttheir“homeawayfromhome.”
