CONSTRUCTION The speed of construction is not only attributable to our sales success but also to a management team that believe in investing in professionals and technology. Since our last communication, the management team has increased in size with three new 'aparejadores' (quantity surveyors) who are responsible for different construction projects, Due to some of the problems of obtaining supplies in Tenerife (due to its location and the huge demand for building materials) a full time building supplies purchaser has been appointed and additional administrative staff have been employed to help overcome these problems. Investment in machinery has also been considerable. In addition to the JCB Telescopic acquired earlier this year, we have recently purchased a JCB 820 PowerSlide Crawler Excavator at an investment of £100,000 which will be used for rock breaking and excavation for underground car parking for future projects and general foundation work. PEBBLE BRIDGE Having invested in more personnel, we are now building somewhere to house them all! Plans are now well advanced for Pebble Bridge which will be the company's new management and administration building. Situated at the top of the 'barranco' (the ravine), adjacent to Project Aries, this building will house the Pebble Beach Village main reception, a luxury restaurant and terrace overlooking the swimming pools and landscaped area down to the water's edge. SPORTS AND LEISURE The company is also in consultation with various specialist architects for the _ design and construction of the indoor/outdoor sports complex and air- conditioned shopping centre which will add the necessary commercial, sports and leisure amenities to Pebble Beach Village . , . and if you're not the sporty type and just want to relax in the comfort of your own home, the recent purchase of 60 large palm trees and considerable nursery stock will ensure a truly tropical flavour.
