Welcome Message The 44th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology President, Daisuke Sawamura (Professor and Chair, Department of Dermatology, Hirosaki University Graduate School of Medicine)
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is a great pleasure and an honor to extend to you a warm invitation to attend the 44th Annual
Meeting of the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology, to be held on November 8-10, 2019,
at the Hotel Aomori in Aomori, Japan.
There will be many big events in Japan of 2019. The present Emperor is going to abdicate on April
30 and then the Crown Price is due to be enthroned on May 1. Consequently a new era is going to
start on May 1. So, we decide on the theme of the Meeting as “Dermatological research in a new
era”. Also, the Rugby World Cup 2019 will be opened in September and unfortunately the
consumption tax rate will be increased to 10 percent in October.
Aomori prefecture is located at the north end of Honshu, the main island of Japan. Since Aomori is
home to a rich treasure trove of food resources, such as the fresh vegetable, fruits and seafood
from rich natural environments, we are sure that you must be satisfied with not only scientific
programs of the Meeting but also Aomori cuisines in nice restaurants.
We hope that you come to the Meeting and have a great time in Aomori.
February, 2019
Sincerely,
3
