In 1997 and in 1998, it became hot topics that "polyphenols" in the red wine can help maintain health condition and all the wine distributors increased the volume of imported red wines drastically. After the boom ended,

total sales of wines were slightly

dropped but still maintained decent

sales volume steadily after 2000. In

2012, another wine boom came and

total sales volume went beyond 300

thousand KL. In 2014, sales volume

of the imported wine broke the

record of past years.
