Such determination is based uponthe updated information on the Power Plant Units availability, the demand forecasts and the changes inthe National Transmission Grid topology and the changes in the components of the General DistributionPower Grids corresponding to the wholesale Electric Market or other changes in the system conditions.The target function is the minimization of the costs related to the additional committed units and isconducted subsequently to the Day Ahead Market.

Autoridad de Vigilancia del Mercado Market Oversight Authority 2.1.78

The Authority responsible for monitoring the Market Participants, the operation of the WholesaleElectric Market and the resolutions reached by the CENACE in order to guarantee the efficient operationof said market and the due compliance with the Market Rules. It is responsible as well for supervisingthe compliance with the obligations provided for by the Act (article 104) and those in the Market Rules.Said faculty shall be exercised by CRE through its Board of Directors as soon as the Wholesale ElectricMarket first year of operation is completed. Before then, [authority will be exercised] by the Ministrythrough its National Electricity System and Nuclear Policy Unit or through the unit that replaces it, withCRE technical support.
