    20 14

In our lives, it would be nice to think 2014 will be an improvement over 2013.

At this time, it seems everyone talks about New Year’s Resolutions, one resolution hopefully is that we will let God in our life and trust Him more.

But really the idea of a resolution may be flawed. To change one’s self is more difficult, it takes time, commitment, faith and not just a statement.

New Year’s Day can be a procrastinator’s dream.

“Why start now, when I can wait until New Year’s Day.”

New Year’s Resolutions can set people up to fail more than succeed. It’s much easier to quit if it’s a once a year commitment.

“Ah, I blew it. Back to my old ways.”

We often forget that there are 365 days in a year. 365 days to allow God to make a difference in us and for us to make a difference for others.

On some of those days you’ll do better than others. But it’s important to recognize, it’s not all or nothing. It’s a journey.

One day, one choice at a time.

So if you are setting a New Year’s Resolution here’s some advice:

First, that we commit each day to God and His plan for us.

Second, it’s great to have an end goal, but don’t get so caught up in the past or future that you lose sight of the present.

Blessings to all for a wonderful year that is full of the Peace, Hope, Love and Joy, that God alone can bring to each of us.

“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

    Numbers 6:24-26

One Day, One Choice at a Time.

That represents an increase of 761 guests served as compared to the same period in 2012. Pantry East served 633 more guests than last year in November and Pantry West had an increase of 128 individuals.

  • 2013 COOKIE WALK Thanks to numerous dedicated bakers, the Annual Grace Lutheran Church Cookie Walk was an overwhelming success! More than 35 volunteers baked over 8,000 cookies and worked tirelessly for weeks leading to the December 7 event.

While we are not counting pounds gained, we are counting more than $2,700 raised thanks to the charitable efforts of our Congregation and Community. Thank you to all those who helped make this event a great success!

    Noteworthy

Grace Lutheran Church Men's Group hosted the Men's/Kid's Pancake Breakfast

on Saturday, December 14. 40-50 men and kids enjoyed a delicious meal and

    fellowship together.
