Each year our school organizes a “sport week” .
This year from 12th to 16th March some students went
skiing to Campo Felice others preferred to stay at school
and take part in different activities as basketball, volley-
ball, football, dancing, cooking, science lab.
Campo Felice is one the most important ski resort in the
centre of Italy. There the students could choose between
Nordic or Alpine ski.
Students who had chosen Nordic ski, the first day, were
divided into three groups: beginners, intermediate and
expert and then they skied with good teachers. They en-
joyed even though the first three days the weather was
very cold and windy.
At school, one of the funniest activities was cooking
English and American bakery with the English teacher.
We found out that we were very good at it! We cooked
“Muffins” and “AmericanBrownies”: they were deli-
cious and we ate them !
The science lab was very interesting: we studied DNA
with our teacher.
On Wednesday we went to the mountain with a rescue
team who saves people from avalanches and they
showed us how they do.
Inshort it was a great week because we had fun and
above all we didn’t have lessons or homework!!!

Carnival on ice Missis teacher said one day that on Saturday 3rd
March it will be carnival on ice. I looked forward to
Saturday and I chose for this day a mask of
a cat. Immediately I liked the carnival. There was a lot
of competitions. I took part in competition with my
friend, we had second place. There played music, we
could dance, there was a funny raffle. My friend won a
pineapple and I also received nice prizes. This carnival
was beautiful, we could skate there and we had a lot of
fun.

TEAM
Our handball team was very succesful this school year.
They got into the national
finals which will be organized in Érsekújvár in May.
CSODASZARVAS
TOURNAMENT
CSODASZARVAS TOURNAMENT is an
international indoor football tournament. It was
organized in Miskolc, Hungary this year. Three
countries – Hungary (one team), Romania (two
teams) and Slovakia (one team from our school) -
participated in it. The team from Marosvásárhely,
Romania won the cup. Slovakia got the silver
medal.
OUR SKIING COURSE Once upon a time there were two classes: one was the
class Primo and the other one the Secundo. These two
classes were waiting in front of the school building to
start the travel to Kokava for a one week skiing course.
It is organized every second year at our school. The
meeting was successful with a small delay. When the
children had reached their destination, they occupied
their rooms. A lucky small team was given their own
chalet.
The whole week was very good and fascinating. The
program was excellent: brerakfast, morning exercise,
skiing, at noon – lunch, some rest and afternoon skiing.
We had no problems with this program because our
aim on this course was to learn the basis of skiing. If
somebody has already been good at skiing, they could
improve their skills and try snowboarding.
The teachers prepared shows and games for us in the
evenings.
There were some handsome boys from an other school
too so we, the girls immediately fell in love with them.
The week passed away very fast but almost all of us
has learnt how to ski.
On the way home we changed our phone numbers and
created a lot of stories. We wanted to stay at Kokava
but at the same time we also wanted to go home. We
missed our families.
This skiing course is unforgettable for us.
The tournament
in table football The tournament in table
football took place on 22nd
March in our school. Each

pupils from 1st classes at 1st stand. Second and third

there played pupils from fourth and fifth classes. I was
on the 3rd stand. Classes 4. B and 5. A made it to the

experiences, we had a lot of fun.

a gesture of solidarity with the third world. The purpose
of this run race is to make aware about the problem of
not to have potable water and its consequences in unde-
veloped countries.
Every year we organize in our school a chess competi-
tion. All the students of the school can participate in the
competition.
This activity is repeated every year and we carry it out
during the break at the playground.
There are no prizes for the winner but the most im-
portant thing is that all the students that participate en-
joy so much competing and sharing this experience with
the rest of the students. Indeed, Diego Salas (from the
5th grade class), one of our reporters, is participating and
is already in the last part of the competition so in a few
days we will know who is the winner this year.
We hope that the best player will win the competition as
it happens every year and we wish that the students
maintain their energy to participate in the competition
the next school year.
Night at School
Our students had a great
night on 13th of January
during Kalos Kagathos
programme. Provided
with sleeping bags, foam rubber mattresses and
sport clothing they came at 9 p.m. for an adven-
ture. There were a lot of sport disciplines wait-
ing for participants, which were provided by
teachers.
Climbing Wall Adventure
First, eyes were round with fear “So high? No! I`m
not going to get there”, then a short training, three
commands “Block- OK- Down”; and within mo-
ments first volunteers were climbing the climbing
wall. Such were emotions of participants of Kalos
Kagathos programme who climbed the wall in the
High School no 4 in Elblag. Students were climbing
in turns and supporting each other. They accom-
plished more climbing walls of different levels. In
the end, there was a real troll`s cave. With a helmet,
a small torch, you had to pass a dark and narrow
corridors crawling all the time. A little fear, few eye
drops and there was a light at the end of the tunnel.
Few scratches and bruises, but the adventure was
great! We took some photos which show our ad-
venture. There will definitely be some volunteers
for some future visits!
