Our offer for this event:- Integration4Water – an FP6 SSA project

- ENVITECH-Net – an International Scientific Thematic Networkfor Environmental Technologies

Institute for Ecology of Industrial Areas, Katowice, PolandInformation Day „Water Technologies”, 11 July 2005, Brussels, Belgium

The project

Initiative for facilitating integration of research potential from the New Member States(NMS) and Associated Candidate Countries and the Old Member States in the

Area of Water Cycle including Soil-related Issues of the FP6 sub-priority 1.6.3 anda relevant priority of FP7

The project is an FP6 Specific Support Action with a primary objective to facilitateparticipation of NMS and ACC in the FP6 sub-priority 1.6.3 in the area of Water Cycle

Including Soil-related Issues, especially in the 4th call and in the upcomming FP7

What does the project offer ?

The 4th call dedicated offer:• database of NMS/ACC organisations active in the area of water and soil research as

potential partners in the FP calls & a partner search engine– structured adequately for the needs of an effective partner search for the 4th call to provide maximum

information on their expertise in relation to the specific topics of the 4th call. After the deadline of the 4th call, the database will be supplemented for the needs of developing contributions to the FP7 workprogramme.

• Integration4Water internet service– A one- stop- shop to facilitate partner search, promotion & information dissemination on RTD

activities in the field of water and soil conducted by the database users and users of the instant messager service

Towards FP7:• 3-day workshops event

– to train potential project partners in building integrated research approaches with an aim to jointly identify and define the research topics as a contribution to the development of the FP7 Workprogramme, especially these areas and topics in which the researchers from NMS and ACC could become leaders due to their expertise

• setting up Topical Expert Groups– as potential research teams capable to approach the identified FP7 topics and developing the

strategies for researchers co-operation in these groups in this program

International ScientificThematic Networkfor Environmental Technologies

Mission: Integrate applied research with the needs of industry and development of innovative environmental technologies for building sustainable future

• established and co-ordinated by IETU since 2002 • 61 research organisations from 11 countries• Project for international co-operation co-financed by the Polish Ministry of Science and

Information Technology• Research fields adopted to ETAP’s trends in environmental technology development• Water RTD potential gathered in RESEARCH FIELDS 1 & 3: Water resources

protection and technologies for sustainable production and consumption • ENVITECH-Net serves also as a scientific mirror to the Polish Environmental

Technologies Platform established and co-ordinated by IETU
