The 8th grade class would like to thank all those who have supported their efforts in their quest to raise

money to get to DC! They would like to especially thank Mrs. Fayard,

Mrs. Docog and Ms. Gioiosi for their hard work and dedication!

Mrs. Chavez’s 5th grade class traveled all the way to Washington County for a day of lessons and learning (and a bit of fun) with a visit to Washington on the

Brazos!

Why do our students love the After School Program?

Because the lessons and fun don’t end at 3:20!

Students learned a little magic during the ASP, but they’ll never tell their secrets.

Congratulations to both the girls and boys varsity basketball teams on their wins over Assumption last week! The girls also defeated Sacred Heart Conroe to go 2 and 0 for the week,

while the boys game against Sacred Heart Conroe was a hard fought nail biter, ending in a 2 point loss. FYI…The home and away dates with Our Lady of Guadalupe were switched, and so we will travel to OLG on January 23rd. The schedule has been updated.

The last day to order your NJHS Candy Grams is tomorrow.

Each Candy Gram costs one dollar.

Candy Grams will be delivered Wednesday, December 20th.

Dear St. Mary Magdalene Catholic School Families, I am writing this to thank you for your continued support to the SMMCS Lion Fund. I ask that you contin-ue your prayers and support for this cause in the New Year. Our school goal for the 2017/2018 year is $80,000. In order for us to live our mission, “St. Mary Magdalene Catholic School exists to develop students who have academic strength, strong moral values and a deeper un-derstanding of their Catholic faith, so that they may succeed as individuals who make wise choices, serve oth-ers and attain a deep relationship with Christ,” we need your help and invite you to partner with us. As our partner, you know that we strive to see the potential in each student who enters our school. Each student is given the opportunity to discover that an education built on faith, morals, values and a solid academic pro-gram, leads to a self-confidence that enables students to dream big and succeed in life. It is exciting to see our children discover their God-given gifts and use them in their young lives and beyond to strengthen the king-dom of God, and become productive young adults and citizens. We ask you to see what we see. See the gifts that are in the heart of each student. See the pride on the faces of our children as they succeed and grow in so many ways. Be the heart that lifts up, challenges and enables eve-ry student to reach his or her potential. I ask you to please consider a monetary donation to our school. Gifts given prior to January 1, 2018, are eligible for tax deductions for the 2017 year. You have the option to give in two ways: one-time gift giving or pledged gift giving. Your one-time gift can be paid for in cash, by check, by credit card or added to your FACTS account. Your pledged gift can be paid over time using any of the previously mentioned methods. Please contact the front office at 281-446-8535, and we will be more than happy to set up your gift giving. As we come together with our friends and families to celebrate the Christmas season, and we look to the New Year with great hope, I ask that our loving God give you light and joy. Josh Raab, Principal, St. Mary Magdalene Catholic School
