Conceptualización
Definition : Adjective
An adjective is a word that describes a noun (person, place, or thing).
Adjectives can tell how something looks, tastes, feels or sounds. Adjectives answer questions like: How many? How big? What kind? Which?
Articles (or determiners)
There are some special adjectives that are used frequently in speech and writing:

Teachers -- Have students find the adjectives in the following sentences.
Example 1:"On a warm, sunny day, Alex swam in the cold, blue lake.(warm and sunny describes day; the, cold, blue describes lake.)
Example 2:"The smiling girl ran to the biggest dog.(smiling tells what kind of girl; the biggest describes dog.)

Example 3:"Mr. Smith bought four red apples, three oranges, and two ripe bananas."(four, red tells what kind of apple; three tells how many oranges, and two, ripe tells what kind of bananas.)
Adjectives can change Articles:
When a noun begin with a vowel, the correct article to use with it is an.
When a noun begins with a consonant, the article to use with it is a.
However, adding an adjective in front of the noun can change the article.
If the adjective begins with a vowel, the article should be an. If the adjective begins with a consonant, the article should be a. Let’s look at an example: An elephant becomes a large elephant, because the article is based on the adjective, which begins with a consonant.
