ATP rapid hygiene testing is based on the measurement of adenosine

triphosphate (ATP) - the energy molecule for all animal, vegetable,

bacteria, yeast and mould cells.

A method to assess cleanliness of environmental surfaces in real

time.

The technology detects the presence of organic residues, in

addition to microorganisms, which have been left on a surface after

inadequate cleaning and or sanitation.

All seven hospitals experienced an overall decline in the level of

contamination from an average of 568 to 194 Relative Light Units

(RLU)

Cleaning managers were impressed with the results and the

improvements in their cleaning protocol:

The Clean-Trace Clinical ATP system has been a great success;

staff are receiving feedback and becoming competitive. At onehospital it was also noted that the Clean-Trace Clinical ATP system

wards were the cleanest.
