3D Control & Picking Solution is the best answer to the need for flexibility in loading
machines and assembly systems. It allows all robotic systems to directly pick objects out

The Politecnico di Milano spin off company's general mission is performing a technology transfer function between academia and industry. Over the years ISS has taken part in various research projects in partnership with Politecnico di Milano, other research centres and several SMEs.The strong link with Politecnico di Milano is also witnessed by the close cooperation established with the Department of Mechanical Engineering Industrial Vision laboratory VB Lab and by the fact that Politecnico houses an ISS lab in its open research centre Campus Point. The tight contact with the research world allows the spin off engineers to share the state-of-the-art knowledge, so offering high technology content solutions.
ISS has set up a close cooperation with TEN srl, one of the most important companies involved in the Italian machine tool market that has a great experience in distribution and pre and post sales consultancy service. This choice arises from the common will to establish a tight link between industry and applied research. In fact, a closer and closer integration between these fields is fundamental to achieve innovative solutions able to effectively and quickly satisfy the complicate needs of the present industrial market.
ISS develops solutions in close contact with its customers, since the early stage of the project, when needs and specifications are laid down, up to the product installation and the staff training. A special care is also devoted to the post sales assistance and to the continuous improvement activity.

Technical specifications of the 3D CPS robot guidance system
The 3D CPS software provides the user with some very useful tools:
Robot registration: to easily and reliably perform the registration between the 3D CPS and the robot reference frames.
Model configurator (optional): to autonomously create and insert new products starting from either the 3D CAD model or the scan.
Collision avoidance (optional): to prevent collisions between the robot tool and the bin.

parts. The 3D CPS system is based on a 3D vision system
allowing to recognize and identify both position and
orientation of different parts, just knowing their geometric

As its use does not require specific programming skills. The only needed knowledge to learn
a new part is related to the grasping operation. Operators already skilled to work with picking elements have the
immediate capability to autonomously work with the

operate in idle times inside the robot cycle.
