3D Modeling
What are 3D Models?
3D modeling is a mathematical representation of any three dimensional surface of an object that is created by computer software. It is a wireframe representation of any object either real or created. It can be displayed in both 2D and 3D formats in terms of images and by 3D rendering used in computer simulations.

What are 3D Models?
3D models can be rotated and viewed from any angle in order to provide a full view which can be used for testing purposes. For example, whether designing new structures or products such as automobiles, a three dimensional representation can allow for testing within the computer itself before the expense of building them can begin.

The Future of 3D Modeling
The applications for 3D models may be limitless as new technology allows for a proper, more realistic viewing of objects and materials. In fact, the earth science community has benefited from constructing 3D geological models that help demonstrate some of the basic principles of erosion, volcanic activity and the like.

The Future of 3D Modeling
It is certainly possible that much of the training for physical sciences will be done with the aid of realistic 3D models, providing many different experiences that only happen rarely in the real world. There is little doubt that 3D modeling will only grow as new holographic technologies and other advancements will make 3D models even more realistic.
