Unified whole composed of parts which are interdependent and interrelated with each other (Rogers) Different organs organ systems functions together to achieved particular purpose D. Greater than & different from the some of all his parts (Roy) Grater Than The Some Of All His Parts – not simply a composite of physiologic body parts he is also endowed of intellect will, judgement ability & decision make ability Different From The Some Of All His Parts – at times his responses are predictable, but in sometimes unpredictable E. Subsystem and suprasystem affects man as whole (Roy) Subsystem – cells, tissues, organs & organ system Suprasystem - family, community and the society

A. Bio-Psycho-Social & Spiritual Being who is constant contact with the environment (Roy) Biologic Being - like all other man constant contact with the environment

Psychologic being – like NO other man is unique no person is likely alike
