Preparation Before Configuration
1. Configure management VLAN
ANM2000 EMS works on the equipment only after management
VLAN and IP configured
Connect the Console port
Configure management VLAN and IP
www.fiberhomegroup.com
Use Hyper Terminal software: Enter 【Startup】→【Program】→ 【Accessary】 →【Communications】→【Hyper Terminal】
Connect serial port of PC and CONSOLE port of AN5116-06A with a serial-port cable.

Preparation Before Configuration
Before the user enters the console, the system will check his identity.
The user should input right username and password. Configuring management VLAN requires the user to be in configuration mode.
The default name and password of an administrator are GEPON, GEPON and EN, GEPON respectively.
www.fiberhomegroup.com
Type “cd service” after command prompt Admin# in configuration mode to get into directory of commands for VLAN management.
To configure management VLAN, use the following command:
set manage vlan name <name> vid <vid> inputport <portlist> [untagged|tagged]
<vid>: VLAN ID of management VLAN, ranging between 1 and 4085.
<portlist>: Port of the management VLAN.
[untagged|tagged]: Specify port of this management VLAN is in Untagged mode or Tagged mode.
Example:
set manage vlan name test vid 1000 inputport 19:4 untagged

Configure management IP
Preparation Before Configuration
set manage vlan name <name> ip <A.B.C.D/M> {<A.B.C.D>}*1 <A.B.C.D/M>: IP address of management VLAN, of it M referring to subnet mask bits. {<A.B.C.D>}*1: Equipment gateway, optional (The setting of gateway is necessary only when equipment and EMS fall within different net sections) Example: set manage vlan name test IP 10.18.250.3/16

Commissioning of Data Service
• Preparation before commissioning:
Check whether the status indicator is ready; check ONU is registered or not.
• ONU authentication.
ONU is authenticated using MAC address whitelist.
• Configuration of OLT VLAN.
According to OLT VLAN requirement, choose proper port and configure the VLAN
table for OLT.
• Configure ONU port parameters.
• By clicking “FE port configuration”, configure the ONU VLAN mode.
• Configuration of OLT SVLAN.
According to ONU configuration and OLT requirement, configure the VLAN profile of
OLT QINQ domain.
• ONU binding:
Choose binding ONU, and OLT QINQ profile of PON port.
www.fiberhomegroup.com
• Check the power supply (-48v DC:-40V~-57V), make a data service plan before
powering on the system.
• Make plans for data service, record ONU MAC address and authentication ID.
• Make sure the power supply keep accordance with the requirement of equipment,
make sure the voltage within standard range.
• Check the status indicator of cards
Card works properly when ACT indicator of HSWA card, EC4B card, uplink
card is on.
Communication between ONU and EC4B has been established successfully when
LINK indicator of EC4B card is on.
• Check the type of ONU
Check the software version of cards
Check the connection status of system.
Check the connection between PON port and ONU.
Check the connection of uplink cards.
Check the connection between EMS and HSWA by serial port.

OLT QINQ Domain Function
• Function introduction
Multiple functions for VLAN tag, VLAN translation and VLAN add of upstream direction.
Corresponding operation of VLAN for downstream direction can be executed, according to that of the upstream direction.
Configuration for upstream and downstream data is enabled, based on which optional operation can be done according to pre-defined parameters.
Operation for VLAN based on PON port and ONU is supported.
COS remarking is supported.

OLT QINQ Domain
Configuration
•QINQ domain configuration interface
1. Each domain has a certain name.
2. VLAN of four layers can be configured in each domain.
But only the first two layers’ operation are supported currently.
3. Maximum 32 services can be configured in a single domain.
4. Maximum 1024 domain configuration can be supported
currently.

Service type:Reserved for future use
Up/down clause:Define the feature of up/downstream packets
Four layers’ VLAN domain:Each layer’s VLAN can be configured according to customer’s requirement, of which only the first two layers’ are supported currently.
• VLAN layer introduction:
First layer VLAN–It can be a CVLAN when upstream data from ONU with one layer’s VLAN, it can be a inner CLVAN when upstream data from ONU has two layers’ VLAN.
Second layer VLAN – It’s outer VLAN, namely SVLAN.

Configuration
•QINQ domain configuration interface
•Each layer’s VLAN parameter
Nth layer’s VLAN of customer:Original VLAN of upstream direction from ONU.
Nth layer’s VLAN COS:COS ID of Nth layer’s VLAN.
Action:Action can be executed for Nth layer’s VLAN, including “add” and “transparent”.
Tag identification:New TPID of Nth layer’s VLAN after the action.
Priority:COS value of new VLAN after the action.
New VID:VID of new VLAN after the action.

Note:
• Maximum services of QINQ domain profiles should be less than 22
at each PON port.
• N:1 transform can only be realized by attaching profile to ONU. PON
port does not support N:1 transform unless through other indicators
such as COS.
• OLT QINQ domain requires that VLAN can be processed by
downstream data only after MAC address has been learned by
upstream data
• Instead of supporting broadcast packets from downstream direction,
OLT QINQ domain transmit the packets transparently to the users
without processing VLAN.

FAQ
• Service Failure (FTTH ONU)
Check VLAN configuration of OLT and the correctness of SVLAN.
Check the correctness of QINQ domain profile parameters of OLT and VLAN information.
Verify whether VLAN operation is effective by checking MAC address table of equipment.
Check where service failure occurs by CLI
