Patient positioning:
1. Assist the patient to a seated position at the end of the
radiographic table.
2. Patients side of interest should be neatest the table; the

Part of positioning:
1. Rotate the hand true lateral position with the 5th digit resting
on the table.
Central ray:
Direct central perpendicular to mid carpal region.

Part of positioning:
1. Pronate the hand.
2. Keeping the hand pronated , deviated the hand outward in
extreme lunar
Central Ray;
1. Direct the central ray perpendicular through the scaphoid.
Note central ray directed 15-20 towards the form arm.
