SYSTEM REqUIREMENTS:

1. An opening within the frame’s rear triangle is necessary for the belt to pass through, or a frame that does not interfere with the function of the belt, such as an elevated chainstay. Full suspension designs generally cause “chain growth” altering belt tension, thus there are few rear suspension frames that are compatible. 2. Horizontal dropouts are recommended, in conjunction with a bolt or nutted type hub (not QR). Vertical dropouts are only compatible when accompanied by an eccentric bottom bracket, eccentric hub, or sliding dropout.

3. Due to the greater width of a belt drive system as compared to a chain drive setup, front sprocket clearance must be considered between the inside edge of the front sprocket and the chainstay, as well as the outside edge of the rear cog and the seatstay near the rear dropout.

4. Belt alignment and precise tension is critical to system performance and longev-ity. A misaligned or mis-tensioned belt may cause noise, excessive wear, or could even allow the belt to ride off the drive which could lead to belt failure.
