Sittin’ and Sippin’Summer days are made for sitting outside

and sipping a refreshing glass of iced tea orlemonade. Join us for a cool beverage andneighborly chat as we relax on the patio. See theactivities calendar for dates and times.

Remember When: Porch-Sitting SeasonBefore air conditioning was a common feature in

most American homes, many folks took to frontporches to find cool relief. There, they gathered to catcha breeze in the open air, sip a cool beverage and chatabout their day. Porches served as social hubs, andneighbors and friends were often invited to pull up achair and “sit a spell.”
