PRACTICE STARTS 10 MINUTES BEFORE SQUAD TIME!

TOURNAMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS READ THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS CAREFULLY – FAILURE TO READ IS NO EXCUSE

1. This Tournament is open to all TNBA members, except professional bowlers, who reside in a

Southern Region state. It will be operated under the tournament rules of TNBA and USBC. To

participate in the senior events, you must be at least 55 years of age at the time of bowling.

TNBA membership cards may be purchased at the site at a cost of $26.00 each. USBC

membership cards may be purchased at a cost of $21.00.

2. The mail-in entry deadline is October 31, 2016 and the full amount of fees must

accompany the entry for same to be honored. Entries postmarked the 1st post office

business day following the entry closing date shall be accepted.

3. PERSONAL CHECKS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR ANY

REASON. The total entry fee in the form of Money Order, check or Certified check, must

accompany the application, made payable to TNBA Southern Regional Tournament Fund.

4. ENTRY BLANKS MUST SHOW THE FULL NAME (no nicknames), ADDRESS, TNBA &

USBC NUMBER AND AVERAGE OF EACH BOWLER. ANY OMISSIONS

WILL DELAY PROCESSING UNTIL ALL INFORMATION IS

RECEIVED. ****NOTE**** TOURNAMENT WINNINGS OF

$600 OR MORE WILL NOT BE DISTRIBUTED IF THE

WINNERS’ SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER IS NOT ON FILE IN

THE TOURNAMENT OFFICE5. (a.) Any number of men-women combinations may be used in the mixed team event. Not more

than 3 players on the same team may re-enter.

(b.) The first score rolled by a player on the team, singles and doubles will count towards

his/her all events score. Actual and handicap pin count for all events.

(c.) MULTIPLE ENTRY IS PERMITTED FOR TEAMS, SINGLES AND DOUBLES.

6. Entrants must use their highest USBC certified league average, based on a minimum of 21

games for the 2015-2016 season. No summer league averages may be used. Sport league

averages may be used after applying the USBC average calculation for sport league averages.

All others must use their current average at the time of bowling, verified through BOWL.COM,

based on a minimum of 21 games. If none of the above, the bowler must enter at a 220 average.

The USBC 10 pin average rule does not apply. USBC rule on reporting prize winnings of

$600 or more will apply.

7. It shall be each bowler’s responsibility to verify the accuracy of his/her average, (whether

originally submitted by the bowler, his/her team captain, or others.) ALL AVERAGES

MUST BE VERIFIED THROUGH BOWL.COM BY NOVEMBER

18, 2016. Failure to do so may result in disqualification. It is requested that the verification

be sent with the tournament entry application. In order to avoid disqualification, entrants

must make average corrections by the end of the first game BOWLED.

8. Handicap for each game shall be 90% of 220 scratch.

9. Replacements shall be permitted at the discretion of the Team Captain and must bowl in the

position of original entrant. All rules and regulations herein likewise apply to replacements.

Once a replacement has start to bowl, the replacement must finish event being bowled.

10. To sub you must be entered in at least one event as a pre-paid entry, including mixed

doubles, by the regular tournament closing date. Replacement bowlers must be made prior

to start of tournament.

11. The Tournament Director reserves the right to disqualify any entrant not in compliance with

the rules of the tournament, TNBA, USBC. Premature termination of the tournament brought

about by war, national emergency, or emergency causes relating thereto or therefrom, fire,

natural disaster or any other reason beyond the control of The TNBA Southern Regional

Tournament shall cause, to the extent required thereby, all prizes, to be prorated in accordance

with the number of entrants who have bowled in each of the respective events up to the time

of such termination.

12. Team Captains are requested to report to the to the Tournament Director’s office at least one

hour before time scheduled to bowl to make any changes for the squad.

13. Entrants may not enter doubles and not singles or enter singles and not doubles. You must enter

both events. NO MIXED DOUBLES ON THIS ENTRY.

14. Events will be scheduled in the order names are listed on the entry blank. Tournament

Director’s time schedule will be final.

15. Team, Singles, and Doubles will be scheduled. In the singles and doubles event, singles will

be bowled first. No player may change position in any team or doubles lineup after the entry

has been scheduled. Violation will cause disqualification. Bowlers will move to a different pair

of lanes after bowling singles.

16. It is the bowler’s responsibility to check their scores after each game.

17. Tardy players will start in frame being bowled with zero being given for each frame missed. If

a team refuses to start because a full line-up is not present, they shall receive zero for all frames

which they decline to bow. No blind score shall be permitted and a bowler must bowl with and

on the same lanes and at the same time his/her team bowls.

18. Provisional ball or frame will be used in situations where foul or legality of pin fall cannot be

immediately resolved.

19. After entry has been received, no fees shall be refunded except in dire emergency such as

strikes, lockouts, fires, etc., over which management has no control.

20. Prize fee will be returned 100% in the event for which it is collected. There will be at least one

(1) prize for every ten (10) entries, except all events, where the ratio will be at least one (1) for

every twenty (20).

21. Current Professional Bowlers regardless of Classification will not be permitted to bowl

in this tournament. Past PBA/PWBA champions, regardless of classification, may be

permitted to bowl if the championship was not within the last 10 years. Former

PBA/PWBA members who have not held a card for the past two (2) years are eligible to

bowl in this tournament.

22. PRIZE :(a) Championships will be determined by the greatest total of pin fall in the category.

(b) Bowlers entered in all three events (where he/she has paid an all events fee)

shall be eligible for the All Events Championship award.
