3740 Jockvale known as Pink House – now 2741 Longfields

July 16th, 2015 - Meeting with Builder

Preliminary meeting with Uniform and architect. The preliminary concept consisted of a mix of 36 three-storey townhouses in blocks of two or three, and 84 apartment condominium units distributed between six, fourteen-unit, three-and-a-half-storey apartment buildings. See below.

January 6, 2016 – Uniform sends first draft proposal to Councillor Harder

Uniforms forwards its proposal for development as a follow-up to their Nov.6th pre-consultation meeting with City staff > see document titled: 2 - Novatech to Councillor Harder Jan. 5th, 2016

Document identifies changes – new proposed development reduces the number of units from 120 to 90 units consisting of 56 condominiums in 4 buildings and 34 bungalow semis bordering the golf course. See drawing below.

February 2nd, 2016 – SCA sends comments to the City and Uniform

Initial comments from the community forwarded to Uniform and the City

• Size of yard not conform to size of yards for similar attached bungalows in the community; potential danger situation for properties backing onto hole #6 & #7;

• Condominium building still too high to conform to character of community; • Request for tree buffer has been ignored.

April 25, 2016 – Application for subdivision (D07-16-16-0005) and application for zoning by-law amendment (D02-02-16-0028) filed with the City of Ottawa

Documents can be found on the City of Ottawa website DevApps tool using above file numbers.

June 13, 2016 - SCA comments to file lead

SCA files its comments with the file prime at the City. See document titled: 5 - SCA input 3740 Jockvale – June 13th, 2016

Following concerns were highlighted:

• Concerns with density and compatibility with the existing use of dwellings bordering the golf course and within the Stonebridge community;

• Request that builder implement a tree buffer on property; • Size of backyards for planned semi-bungalows; • Safety concerns with regards to traffic on Jockvale .

June 14, 2016 - SCA request that City better informs community

The SCA requests that City increases its distribution list to include more residents who will be impacted by new development and requests that billboard be relocated in a location where it can actually be seen and read.

June 17, 2016 - Flyer to the community

SCA publishes and distribute a flyer to the community; information is also posted on the SCA Facebook Page and the SCA’s old website.

August 23, 2017 – meeting with Councillor Harder and city planning

A meeting was held with the City to review parkland allocation and traffic remediation criteria for the intersection of Golflinks and Longfields.

September 20, 2017 – City forwards new concept plan for subdivision

New plan consists of 52 semi-bungalows and town bungalows

October 5, 2017 – New plans are posted on City’s Devapps tool

October 24, 2017 - Councillor Harder’s fall open house

Councillor Harder combines public information session for several developments at her fall open house. The SCA requests that a separate public information session be held focused on 3740 Jockvale/2741 Longfields.

October 25, 2017 – traffic remediation solution

Councillor Harder advises SCA that a traffic light will be installed at the intersection of Longfields and Golflinks when Uniform completes development at the Pink House.

November 30, 2017 - Public Information Session for 3740 Jockvale/2741 Longfields

As per SCA request, a separate public information meeting is held at the Minto Sportsplex where approximately 40 people attended.

May 11, 2017 - Plan of subdivision – draft approved

June 26, 2018 – zoning by-law reviewed at planning committee
