INSTRUCTIONSThese plans walk you through each step as you
prepare, assemble and enjoy the new addition to your yard.
RESPONSIBILITIESIt is the responsibility of the owner to ensure
compliance with all applicable laws, codes and regulations for any
project. Proper safety precautions must be taken prior to and
during the construction of each project. Please follow standard
safety guidelines and wear necessary protective equipment when
building your new outdoor addition.
FOUNDATIONA solid foundation is necessary to prevent the
collapse of a project. We recommend preparing a granular foundation
that is deep enough and properly compacted. It is important to pay
attention to the water management around the structure to ensure
proper drainage.
TIPS FOR BUILDING LEVELING PADSFoundation:Choose the final
location of your project: temporarily place a row of Podia steps.
Once marked, remove the Podia steps and dig a zone of 12 inches
minimum [300mm] deep. Extend the surface line by 6 inches [150mm]
on all sides. NOTE: for clay soil, we recommend to increase the
depth to resist seasonal frost.
Spread 10 inches [254mm] of crushed stone 0-3/4 inch [0-20mm]
then level and compact. Finish the foundation with the first row of
Podia steps that should sit 1 to 2 inches below grade to help
prevent shifting.
Filling of the space between Jasper wall:Fill space with 4
inches [102mm] of 3/4 inch [20mm] clean stone. Complete the filling
to reach the height of the Jasper wall.
TIPS FOR ADHERING THE STONES• Prior to adhering each level to
the previously laid stone, place the entire level of stones and
check to make sure it fits properly.• Remove small sections at a
time to place 1/4“-3/8” [6-10mm] beads of adhesive at multiple
places under each unit.
