AIM:
The maim of the project is to maintain the speed of the AC motor uniform.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this project is to avoid damages to the heavy machinery due to high
load. To meet this requirement we have designed an embedded system, which takes all
necessary action to handle the situation in an efficient manner .

DESCRIPTION:
The basic idea of this project is to maintain the speed of the motor Step wise
i.e., in this method !" technique is used. #n this technique duty cycle concept is used for
controlling the speed. #f motor is given a supply for $% second and it is not given a supply for
&% second by using !" then motor will move with speed $%' of its rated speed and like
wise. The speed of the motor can be displaying on (C). *or this application we are connect
+eypad for giving fied speed.-i.e.$%',%' etc/ in )uty cycles.

1arious methods are available to control the speed of the A.C motor2 here we are controlling
the motor speed by changing the voltage applied to motor.
#n this system embedded controller is used to produce the triggering pulses needed
by the T0#AC. T0#AC further controls motor speed. 3mbedded controller also handles the
process of maintaining constant speed by comparing with the threshold or predefined value.
!ith the help of this system we can have continuous monitor over the speed of the motor.
4ere in this project we are going to interface keypad to the microcontroller for varying the
speed. )ifferent keys in keypad are assigned to different speeds. !hen we press particular key
then motor will rotate at that speed and that speed will be displayed on (C).
