Amanda Nissen is the Director of Skill Ease Training for Indigenous Support Services. With over two decades of experience in support services, Ms. Nissen expertly offers her skills in training and client relations. As a registered training organisation she provides both Indigenous and non-indigenous services in the areas of vocational and non vocational training, mentoring, consulting and personal development.
After studying social welfare and managing not for profit organisations in rural and remote locations, a determination to continue to support aboriginal people and their communities became a deep love that has been unstoppable.

Indigenous students often find it difficult to remain engaged and motivated to achieve their full potential due to a variety of complex and differing issues. Dysfunctional family structures, mental health issues and learning difficulties all contribute to the disengagement of Indigenous students.
This workshop will focus on tailored initiatives that address key barriers affecting Indigenous students, offering pathways to future education or employment.
