PR019/2012 NP360 celebrates Christmas with 360 Musical Winter Wonderland (Hong Kong, 19 November 2012) As Hong Kong steps into the festive season, what’s best to celebrate this western festival with a Chinese twist? Christmas ornaments and snow decorations have been added on to Ngong Ping 360’s original fishing village setting. Combined with a variety of live music performances, the village has transformed into a one-of-a-kind, east meets west winter wonderland. From 15 December 2012 to 1 January 2013, Ngong Ping 360 will be hosting its annual Christmas-themed celebration in Ngong Ping Village. Titled “360 Musical Winter Wonderland”, the Village will be highlighted by a series of music performances including “Sweet A-Cappella Show”, “Winter Music Ensemble” and “Sing We Merry Christmas” to celebrate the festive season. In addition to various music performances, visitors will have the opportunity to participate at the “Little Angel Workshop”, where they can design their own Christmas ornaments for their loved ones. Visitor will also be able to meet with the very cute big-head Christmas snowmen and take memorable pictures with them during the “Snowman is coming” sessions. Apart from 360 Musical Winter Wonderland, the first ever inaugural Lantau-themed 360 Lantau Carnival” launched by Ngong Ping 360 in September, will be coming to an end in less than two weeks time! This carnival particularly highlights the unique features of Lantau. The Lantau-themed parade, led by the Goddess of Nature, Prince Blue and Princess Green would be regularly roving through Ngong Ping Village. The troop of parade performers, dressed in unique Lantau-themed costumes that are specially designed by Hong Kong renowned costume designer Kenneth Leung, each represents the traditional food and special creatures of Lantau as well as the Danjia people.
