PUBLIC HEARING – Bylaw No. 1377-09
The Public Hearing was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Mr. Doug Day questioned if modular homes can be built any where in Whispering Greens
Subdivision. Mayor Grant answered that yes if the homeowners association’s bylaw allows.
Mr. Adrian Kuypers requested Council to force the developer to address all of the deficiencies and have the Whispering Greens Phase 1 and 2 streets transferred to the Town.
The public hearing was closed at 7:18 p.m.

9.1 Bylaw No. 1377-09 Modular Home Foundations
Bylaw 1377-09 was given first reading on October 13, 2009 amending LUB
1333-05 to incorporate a section for modular home foundations and a public
hearing was advertised for November 9, 2009.

On November 27, 2009 the Chamber of Commerce will host their 27th Annual
Customer Appreciation and Moonlight Madness Night.

On November 27, 2009 the Chamber of Commerce will host their 27th Annual Customer Appreciation and Moonlight Madness Night.

10.3 Holiday Train
The CPR announced that the Holiday Train will be in Vulcan on December
11th, 2009.

$2,000.00 to the Vulcan Food Bank and agree to participate in the CPR Holiday
Train visit to Vulcan to be allocated from the Contingency Reserve;

be authorized.

STARS is pleased to announce the publication of their official 25th Anniversary

10.6 Renewable Power Support
The City of Lethbridge and the Town of Peace River adopted a resolution
encouraging the Provincial Government to initiate a renewable power expert
panel.

Government encouraging them to initiate a renewable power expert panel
and a subsequent renewable power consultation with Albertans.

10.7 Janitorial Contract
The Janitorial Contract expires on December 31, 2009 and the current contractor is not interested in renewing the contract.

11.0 Question Period
Question: Councillor Roy Elmer indicated that there are a few potholes on 4th Street along Memorial Park and asked if the patching
program is still on?
Response: CAO stated that it was on going and will look into the holes
mentioned above.
Question: Councillor Roy Elmer asked if the street in front of the Post
Office had been fixed.
Response: CAO stated that it was fixed today.

Question: Councillor Dwayne Hill expressed concerns about the drainage
on Memorial Avenue at the Arena entrance.
Response: Mayor Grant indicated that this problem should be solved with
the current work that is being done.
Question: Councillor Dwayne Hill questioned if the burnt out street lights
were being looked after.
Response: CAO will look into this.
Question: Councillor John Seaman asked if the access to the CRC parking
lot along the arena will be paved?
Response: CAO indicated that it won’t be done because of lack of budget.
