Manufacturer Overview

Based in Korea, our manufacturer has developed and manufactured Polyurethane(PU) elastomeric

couplings since 1999. Woo Jin offers Max Dynamic couplings, a general purpose elastomeric

coupling with split-in-half element with interchangeable hubs and Max Field couplings that feature

higher torque ratings and torsional stiffness, with superior resistance to hot and humid environments.

Through their constant research and development program, Woo Jin has added “HS” and “HT” type

flexible couplings that are CE ATEX (II2GD c T5) certified to their existing standard and spacer type

flexible couplings.

Installation Instructions

• Inspect both shafts (driven & driving) and hub bores and

confirm they are clean with no dirty particles or burns

• Be sure the keys fit the shafts properly

• Mount both hubs to the shafts securing only one hub while

the other hub should be loose for minor adjustments for

spacing

• In case tapered is being used, follow bushing manufacturer’s

instructions as required

• If hub is bored for an interference fit, we recommend heating

the hub in water, oil bath or an oven and after heating,

immediately positioning it on the shaft

• Be careful as spot heat may cause distortion

• Place half of the element around hubs and secure with

capscrews provided

• The element will space the other hub. It is important to have

capscrews properly tightened

• For placing proper capscrews, see Table 1 in Installation

Instructions for recommended capscrew torques and

instructions.

• Now secure the other hub to the shaft.

• Mount the other half of the element to hubs

• Tighten all capscrews to the recommended capscrew torques

in Table 1 on installation

• Spacer type installation shown above : Same procedure applies for the standard, HT and HS type couplings

• Helpful Tip : If the capscrew holes in the element do not line up with the hubs properly due to equipment misalignment, please

rotate the shafts as you can install each capscrew. For larger couplings, first install the capscrew that is positioned in the center

of the half element.
