1986:Stage III rectal cancer-age 30

Surgery, radiation, permanent colostomy

“Mrs. Henniger, your husband will

most likely be dead in 6 months.”

+8 days from DX to surgery

+ Down for 4 days

+11 days in hospital

+90 days back to work

2014: Permanent urostomy-age 59

+ Up and walking hours after surgery
