First Announcement and Call for Papers

Dear Colleagues,

The Department of Dermatology and Venereology of Soroka University Medical Center, takes great pleasure to invite you to attend the 33rd Annual Meeting of the Israel Society of Dermatology and Venereology. The meeting will take place at the Meridien Hotel, Dead Sea, June 16-17, 2010. As in previous meetings, the scientific program will include lectures delivered by national and international speakers, original studies, case studies and posters. As customary, the best resident paper and best poster presentation will be awarded. The invited international speakers participating are:

♦ Prof. Michael Hertl (Germany)

♦ Prof. Olivier Chosidow (France)

The main topics of the conference are:

♦ Drug-induced skin diseases and drug interactions

♦ Psoriasis

♦ Bullous diseases (pemphigus and pemphigoids)

♦ Infectious and parasitic diseases

During the Conference there will be an exhibition of pharmaceutical companies and medical supplies as well as companies of medical cosmetics. Following the annual Conference, a German-Israeli meeting will take place on June 18, 2010, with representation from both countries. Authors wishing to present a paper or poster at the meeting are invited to complete the Intention Form and submit an abstract via the conference website: www.ortra.com/derm by February 15, 2010. Sorry, POSTAL or FAX submissions will not be accepted! Abstract Format Guidelines:

1. Abstracts should be written in Hebrew or English to a maximum length of a one A4 page. 2. Please follow the online instructions detailed on the website www.ortra.com/derm

According to the Value Added Tax (VAT) Law, a foreign tourist is able to benefit from a zero rate of VAT on a vast array of services obtained during a stay in Israel. In addition, a special arrangement exists whereby a tourist may also request a VAT refund on purchases made during a stay.
