The 32-A Packeris a versatile, easy to use tension set tool, which holds differential pressure fromabove or below. It is designed to run, set, reset and retrieve easily even under adverse conditions.It is ideal for squeeze cementing, casing testing, stimulation treatments and straddle operationsusing a retrievable bridge plug. Full-bore design minimizes the potential for screen-out during

fracturing, does not restrict flow rates and allows the use of through-tubing tools without pulling thepacker.

Running Procedure

The SC Tension Unloader is usually run with the 32-A Packer. The Unloader equalizes

tubing/annulus pressure differential so the packer can be pulled or moved and reset. Italso provides a by-pass that allows fluid to flow through the packer mandrel whenrunning in or retrieving, minimizing the swabbing effect of the packing elements. Colletdesign requires substantial force to open or close, so it remains open when running orretrieving. Once the tool is closed it remains closed until sufficient compression forces itopen. The tool is full opening, therefore compatible with the 32-A Packer.

The unloader is open, while running in, allowing circulation of well fluids through andaround the tool. To set the packer, pick up on tubing string and rotate 1/3 turn to the right(or left, if left hand set) at the packer. Hold torque and slack off tubing weight. Packingelements are not yet compressed, so circulation around the tool can be maintained.

Tension is then pulled to compress the packing elements and close the unloader.
