The most beautiful places in San Juan natural monument Aristides Rojas, which are the rock

formations around the city, and the Monument to the flag in the center of town where the

shields that represent the city and state the Gurico.

Tunja city is located in central Colombia, is the capital of the department of Boyac, founded

on August 6, 1939 by Gonzalo Suares Rendon, the main sites of interest are the dontato well,

the Metropolitan Cathedral's house founder, and its main temples.

TUNJA CRADLE OF LIBERTY

Tunja city is located in central Colombia, is the capital of the department of boyaca, its climate

is cold mountain between 12-19 degrees Celsius, the approximate population for 2013 is

181,407 inhabitants.

Within the main events Tunja is the first international festival of culture, attended by various

artists from all countries and this year celebrates its 41 th anniversary, including events that

are more recent have world's largest coffee with a participation of 13,227 people, other events

are at the departmental level Moniquir summer festival, the festival of kites in Villa de Leyva

and national bands competition Paipa. Within this historical sites Donato pot, the MetropolitanCathedral, the home of the founder and others.

the places of interest in the tunja city are many we have the different temples and historical

convents as they are: the convent of san agustin, that of san francisco and Santo Domingo, and

churches like El Topo, san lazaro and Santa Clara, also this the museum of natural history of

the U.P.T.C, the wall of the martyrs, the boyaca school the hunzahua sediment among other,

for which visits tunja, is very common that attends the vervenas in times of December, to see

the illumination, and in other times of the year, they can visit one another the different

municipalities bordering like motavita, soraca, runta and to enjoy the but exquisite handmade

kitchen of colombia.

When you come to tunja, don't forget to bring their ruana symbol that in tunja it is very cold,but this the compensates the kindness and their people's warmth, don't forget to visit their

places of interest so that it is taken some this history so wonderful, and delight their palate

enjoying the different dishes so much sweet as salted that are manufactured in this city, as the

genovas, the chicha and the masato with cinnamon.
