    Use fiber paper protection at cable break off. If using thin paper, 2 wraps

    is needed.

    Do not hesitate to cut tie wraps installed by Bechtel. We are responsible for

    the last secured position. Use white tie wraps all the time.

    CABLING

    Harness the cables so they break off like waterfalls. As much as possible, tie

    them on top of ladder and not to the side. The RF jumpers are flexible, they

    are easy to dress.

    Avoid tying to the side.

    If cables are too short to

    be dressed as required

    upon break, note this as

    an observation in the

    RBS checklist.

    Strain relief clamp (3 screws)

    Torque= 0.8 Nm

    +24V DCCU Connection (8

    screws)

    Torque= 4.5 Nm

    DCCU Cover (1 screw)

    Torque= 1.5. Nm

    Install fiber papers

    Do not forget to test and trace the cables before terminating.

    Do not trust the labels!

    To do this, I suggest you measure the voltage of each pair to

    verify (+)cables and then trace physically the (-) cables.

    Secure T1 cables at these locations using sticky backs and small

    tie wraps. One of top most, one in the bottom between the 1st and

    2nd screw

    Do not roll the cables in loop. Run them back and

    forth in the ladder rack

    Install fiber papers when T1 cables cross/touch the edge of

    ladders or cross/touch other cables such as ground, DC and RF.

    Missing fiberpapers

    You may wrap

    either the cableor the ladder

    rack with fiber.

    GROUNDING

    When using hand crimper, 2 crimps for standard barrel (above) and 4 crimpsfor long barrel (below). Crimps should be within the band/s.

    Torque to 15 Nm

    Ground lug should be #2 (Brown) 1 hole lug with inspection hole.

    Conductor must reach

    and be seen at this

    inspection hole. Also,

    no excess conductor

    should protrude.

    Fit the jumpers to the rubber slots directly above the FU.

    Torque connections to 25 Nm
